This year’s music is Sir Duke, a tribute to the great Duke Ellington by the great Stevie Wonder. The guard continues its tradition of presenting entertaining shows and staying true to its philosophy “Little Kids, Having Fun!”

The GCP Junior guard is composed of 10 Fourth through Sixth grade students from four school districts. It is sponsored by the Gates Chili Color Guard Parents Inc and the Patriots Drum Corps Inc. The guard is directed by Richard A. Hoppe

Show design and instruction is by Sara Vonhold, assisted by Melissa Waughtel, both alumni of the Gates Chili Varsity guard. Assisting is intern Anna Ensslin, an active member of Gates Chili.
