Dance to The Music Winter Guard Show Holley, NY, Saturday, 30th, 6PM – 585-943-9188 Welcome to the Patriots/Gates Chili/Holley Sports Booster’s Winter Guard competition. Ticket prices are $6.00, pre-school is free. There is no ATM on site so please make the appropriate arrangements. You will be able to exchange Canadian funds for US at the going rate on that day.
Sound Checks will be from 5:15-5:45 OR 7:40-8:10
Props/Floors
Props and Floors can be stored in the designated hallway near the guard staging area. The entrance is through the dock entrance as shown on the map. Please make sure all props and equipment are padded properly.
Your bus will be directed where to park after guard members are dropped off. Guard members will be stamped at check-in. Guard members and all NECG Circuit passes will be allowed entrance back into the gym. There is only front side seating but there will be designated seating on either end for guard members and Circuit passes. Center seating is available for paid spectators only and we ask your help in keeping your Circuit passes and guard members seated at the end seating.
Bus Parking
Buses will be parking at the Intermediate school and the driver will have to walk across to the High School.
Rooms
Only guard members and staff will be allowed in the guard area. No food or practicing in the guardrooms. You will be held accountable for the condition of your room. Please leave it as you found it.
Warm-ups
There are plenty of wide hallways and spaces for body warm-up. Please keep the music low and respect others nearby. Signs will be posted in areas that should be avoided. You will have equipment warm-up available in the Auditorium. Pre break guards will have 7 minutes, while after break guards will have 8 minutes. A guide will pick you up at your room to take you to Equipment warm-up.
Floor Folding
Floors and props are entering and exiting the gym through the same door so you will be folding your floor from back to front (Judges side) when both entering the competition and finishing the show. Make sure you fold your floor appropriately after your last practice before you get to the show site.
Retreat
Captain’s retreat. Captains can assemble in the staging area immediately following the last performance.
